Jerry Coyle has been teaching the advanced courses in acting for film and TV at the Weist-Barron School for Television & Film in New York City for over thirty years. He has conducted and directed acting workshops and seminars at many universities throughout the U.S.A., including The Tisch School of the Arts at New York University; University of California at Irvine; Kent State University, Ohio; Montana State University, Bozeman and The Actors’ Conservatory at Dorset Theatre Festival in Dorset, Vermont.
In 1996 he taught at The Studio Actors & Camera Workshop sponsored by the Filmstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Each year, thereafter, he has been conducting workshops at the Film Acting School, Cologne; the Hochschule for Film and Television, Munich; the Filmschule Wien, Vienna; the Filmschule Baden in Baden bei Wien, Austria and at FAMU in Prague, Czech Republic. In November of 2007 and 2009, Jerry presented workshops at the Skena Up Film and Theater Festival in Pristina, Kosovo. This coming Spring, Jerry wil be delighted to travel to the Hague in the Netherlands to present his workshops.
As an actor, Jerry has appeared in films, TV and theater. This past year he completed Extinction GMO Chronicles in Germany. He had a small principle role in The Good Shepherd directed by Robert De Niro. Off-Broadway he appeared in the critically acclaimed revival of Room Service at the Soho Playhouse in New York City.
