For the past thirty years Jerry Coyle has taught the advanced courses in television commercials, news anchoring and acting for film and TV at the Weist-Barron School for Television & Film in New York City. Besides his work with actors, he has taught professional athletes, sportscasters, news journalists, models, authors, psychologists, doctors, chefs and business professionals. All benefited from his ability to teach relaxed and concentrated work in front of the camera.

For the past fourteen years Jerry has also taught communication and speech to many non actors working towards careers in radio and television at CSB/The Connecticut School of Broadcasting.

He has conducted acting workshops and seminars at many universities and colleges throughout the U.S.A. Among them are the University of California , Irvine , the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University , The Dorset Theatre Festival Conservatory Program, Dorset Vermont and at the NYU School of Education/ Musical Theater Department.

As a professional actor, Jerry has appeared in front of the camera in TV commercials, industrial films, soap operas, and films, most recently in a small principle role in The Good Shepherd directed by Robert De Niro. His career as an actor in Musical Theatre has given him the opportunity to tour throughout the U.S.A. and Europe. In New York City he has appeared Off Broadway, most recently in the critically acclaimed revival of Room Service at the Soho Playhouse in 2007.

In November of 2007 Jerry went to Pristina in Kosovo and conducted his Acting for the Camera workshop at the Skena Up Film and Theater Festival. He also teaches at the Film Acting School Cologne, Germany and at the Filmschule Wien in Vienna, Austria.
